SANWO-OLU LISTENS AND OUR DIGITAL EXECUTION

SANWO-OLU LISTENS AND OUR DIGITAL EXECUTION

Twitter and other social media platforms have been agog over the past few days on Sanwo-Olu Listens initiative. There were also some strategically positioned visibility materials in the form of billboards and A-boards along key Lagos metro; all aiming to make Sanwo-Olu Listens impactful.

Sanwo-Olu Listens is a social welfare campaign created to help struggling Lagosians in this Covid-19 era.

Interestingly, GDM Group played an end-to-end executional role in making the project a success, driving communication on major social platforms [Twitter, Facebook and Instagram].

We created social awareness, sustained it and executed in a live-streamed physical event.
Our layers of communication cuts across fan acquisition, page likes, target nomination, deepened participation, event viewership and campaign validation and credibility.

To increase our reach and widen the conversation, we engaged three macro influencers and 30 ‘twitter viralist’. We also plugged into radio and TV shows of our principal to build promotional content. This produced varied engagement and reactions from Lagosians across all platforms; with several positive and overwhelming feedbacks from Lagosians, and of course some nasty responses from another school of thought.

Throughout the period of the campaign, we created a steady flow of contents; with our influencers on standby to push content online.

Thrice during the campaign we were on twitter trends, gathering over 6000 tweets collectively. Remember we live-tweeted and posted the radio and TV interview sessions realtime.

And on the D-day, we live-streamed the event across social platforms to help Lagosians connect virtually; made several live posts of videos and picture content, and also ‘trended’ realtime. We also made video contents for post amplification.

One thing you cannot take away from Sanwo-Olu Listens initiative is that Mr. Governor’s brand is further reinforced as a care-giver, and an sympathetic leader with listening ears; and his goodwill is strengthened.

And we just created a new perception in the minds of Lagosians – When Eko talks, Sanwo Listens.
